Neil Harris insists his Millwall side will not have any fear as they bid to secure promotion from League One through the play-offs.

The Lions sealed a play-off position after beating Oldham 3-0 at the Den and go into the last game of the season with their sights set on a third-place finish.

Millwall have only lost one of their last seven games and Harris reckons they will be a match for anybody in the fight for promotion.

He said: “The boys won’t have any fear – there’s no fear in us.

“We conquered that a long time ago by putting a run of home results together before Christmas.

“We will be able to enjoy it. There’s no expectation level for us moving forward other than that which we put on ourselves.

“If the boys carry on performing to the best of their ability, we’re a match for anybody in the play-offs.”

It only took the hosts five minutes to take the lead as Byron Webster emphatically headed home Chris Taylor’s early corner.

Steve Morison almost scored a spectacular goal when catching Joel Coleman off his line, but the striker’s punt from the half-way line hit the roof of the net.

Left-back Joe Martin then clipped the bar with a free-kick, before Millwall doubled their advantage.

Morison’s cross was flicked on by Aiden O’Brien and Shane Ferguson was on hand at the far post to fire home.

Oldham should have halved the deficit shortly after the break only for Jonathan Forte to volley straight at Jordan Archer from three yards out.

The Lions put the contest to bed minutes later as Webster scored his second header of the afternoon.

The defender could have completed a hat-trick before the hour mark but smashed over as the Latics failed to deal with another set-piece.

Harris said he was delighted to secure a shot at promotion and was particularly pleased that the Lions’ fine home run was extended against Oldham.

He added: “I’m delighted. Law of averages said we were in there anyway, but we just focussed on winning today and that was the key for us.

“That’s six home wins in a row and that’s what we strived for today. It’s important to win at the Den.

“Good Millwall teams have been built on solid home form and we are showing that now.”
