Leyton Orient head coach Ian Hendon still expects Jobi McAnuff to remain at the club this season despite reported interest from Ipswich Town.

The Championship club have been linked with a move for the midfielder who is one of the highest earners at Brisbane Road.

But McAnuff played 80 minutes of Saturday's win at Bishop's Stortford, following his return from Jamaica's run to the Gold Cup final, and Hendon expects to have the 33-year-old available for Saturday's season opener at home to Barnet.

Hendon said: "He's (McAnuff) played six games for Jamaica over the summer. He played 80 minutes yesterday for us and got kicked from pillar to post. He got up and got on with it for the same reason as Alan Dunne.

"He's played a lot of football, is fit and ready to go so as far as I'm concerned he's in the building and at the moment he's part of the squad. Unless I'm told otherwise or anything else happens he's here."
