A 16-YEAR-OLD is due to appear in court charged with the murder of Paul McMillan in east London.

The 19-year-old plasterer was stabbed to death as he walked his girlfriend home in Dagenham on the night of October 11.

He was attacked near his home at the corner of Valence Avenue and Valance Wood Road.

The suspect, who will appear at Barking Youth Court, was arrested on Friday in Dagenham along with another teen, who was bailed to return in November.

A third teenager, who was arrested last Sunday, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Days after the murder detectives released CCTV footage which showed Mr McMillan out shopping hours before he died.

It was the last sighting of Mr McMillan before he was stabbed in the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Damien Allain previously said: "Paul was a hardworking young man who was very well-known locally and incredibly popular.

"He was attacked and fatally stabbed as he walked from his home address with his girlfriend because he wanted to make sure she returned home safely."
