One small town. Two deaths left unsolved. Five years later, Pip decides it’s her job to work out what really happened. This book was filled with plot twists and thrilling events. The description was vivid, making it really easy to be immersed in the book. All of the characters feel genuine, with them all behaving differently and having flaws, instead of having 2D personalities. Overall, I rate it a 4.5/5.

We step into the shoes of the protagonist, Pippa Fitz-Amobi, or Pip for short. She is a 17-year-old girl, who decides to do her school project on the murder of Andie Bell, an event which heavily impacted their small, close-knit town. Andie was a schoolgirl who disappeared one night, and was pronounced missing. Upon investigation, the police started to suspect her boyfriend, Sal Singh. However, before they could find more solid evidence, Sal was found dead in the woods, having killed himself. The police pronounced Andie Bell dead soon after and confirmed that Sal was the killer. Since then, the Singh family have been outcast by the rest of the townspeople. However, Pippa doubts that how the story actually went. In fact, she believes Sal Singh wasn’t the murderer at all. She teams up with Sal’s younger brother, Ravi, to figure out what actually occurred on the fateful night of Andie’s death.
