Transport police are hunting for a sex attacker after two women reported being sexually assaulted on DLR trains.
A CCTV image has been released of a man detectives wish to speak with in connection with the two offences.
The first victim boarded the DLR at Bank heading towards Lewisham when a man sat down next to her.
He touched her inappropriately and when she stood to get off the train he repeatedly pushed his groin against her.
Police said both the victim and the man got off the train at Limehouse.
The man got back on the DLR at Tower Gateway the same evening, shortly before 8pm, when he sat opposite another woman.
While travelling towards Canning Town, he touched her and himself inappropriately.
Police believe he then left the train at Poplar.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Suleman Yazdani said: “This was a highly distressing and totally unacceptable experience for anyone travelling on public transport.
“I am extremely keen to hear from anyone who might have information on the man in the CCTV images.
"I am sure he has essential information that can help me investigate this sexual offence.”
