POLICE release more details of a park attacker who assaulted a 10-year-old girl in broad daylight.

A 10-year-old girl was playing with friends in Pimp Hall Park, in Simmons Lane, Chingford, on Sunday (July 24), when a man jumped out from some bushes and grabbed her.

Playing in broad daylight at around 3.30pm, the victim was chasing friends at the back of the park where the boundary backs on to allotments.

The man is described as black, in his 40s, around 6ft tall, with a skinny build and balding grey hair.

He was wearing a black hoodie over a black t-shirt with T-A written in white and tight black bottoms.

The young girl fought back her attacker and the man ran off from the area towards the gate.

Police say the suspect said nothing and made no threats towards the victim.

PC Darren Brand issued a warning this week for parents to not allow “children to attend this park unsupervised”.

He added: "Be aware this suspect is still outstanding."
