A TEENAGER whose “passion” for dancing takes over his life has made it to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.

Zakarius Harry, a former pupil at East Barnet School who now lives in Enfield, will compete in the competition with all-male dance company Khronos Agoria.

The 16-year-old will find out whether he is in the finals, due to take place this weekend, this week.

He said: “I am quite nervous about the semi-finals but we have worked so hard to get here and all I can do is be as positive and focussed as I can be.

“I love dance, it’s my life and I am so passionate about it.”

He has been dancing most of his life with Streetz Ahead, a dance company run by his mother, Elizabeth, and sister, Olivia.

But his love of dancing and contemporary ballet grew after taking his GCSE dance aged 14.

He also received a scholarship for The Place, Centre for Advanced Training, in Kings Gross, and will study dance every weekend until he is 18.

Meanwhile he has also danced with Matthew Bourne Lads of the Lake at Sadlers Wells, he and was shortlisted as one of eight finalists to present his choreography at the Royal Opera House.

You can see Zakarius preform live with Khronos Agoria during the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final this week on ITV at 7.30pm.
