A fire at a building in Great Portland Street, Marylebone, has been brought under control.
London Fire Brigade said the fire was in a lift motor room on the building's roof.
The building is said to be currently under refurbishment.
More than 30 calls to 999 were made in relation to the “very visible” fire and four fire engines were sent to the scene.
