A cyclist has been seriously injured after being hit by a car.
Emergency services are on scene on the corner of Wood Street and Lea Bridge Road, close to the Whipps Cross roundabout.
Aman in his 30s was hit by a blue Nissan Micra, according to reports.
He was taken by air ambulance to hospital.
Police are currently closing access to the area following the collision involving a blue Nissan Micra and a cyclist.
A cycle ‘superhighway’ is set be created in Lea Bridge Road and some nearby roads will be made access only for drivers.
Whipps Cross roundabout will be changed into a Dutch-style roundabout, with segregated cycle lanes under the 'mini Holland' sheme.
